We're back??

After a two year hiatus, I'm back on the blog.  About a month ago, Gershon texted to see if we wanted to hike with them. Last time we did the shvil was the week that Gaza attacked us and a lot has happened since then. We've gotten together a couple times but never to do the shvil. When Gershon texted, I was very excited that we were finally starting again. Our initial goal was to finish by 2026 and we're not going to get there but at least we're starting again. Right?

So, last week I mapped out our next walk. I thought we'd keep it short since we're out of shape and getting old. I sent it on the group and Ahuva wrote back that she was good with it. A few hours later, Gershon responded that he was out of the country and did not intend to do the shvil this time. He said that he'd think about it and we'd discuss before the hike. Didn't hear from him again until I texted yesterday to ask if we could go back to Zichron and start again. He said, "I’m not up for the long drive. Want to do something in between RBS and Jerusalem?"

They did all the research and we hiked in Ben Shemen. Was a fine hike but it was on a bicycle path and there were tons of bikes that we had to avoid. It was about 10 km and we walked for 2.5 hours. Was nice to be walking with them again but I really hope that we get back on the shvil and start again even if we never make it all the way to Eilat. We need to at least make it to Jerusalem.
